Support young people to reach their full potential in a specialist SEN schoolAre you passionate about helping young people succeed? We're looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEN school in Uxbridge.This role gives you the chance to support learners aged 16 and above with a range of additional needs in a nurturing, therapy-led environment, helping them build independence, confidence, and life skills.Your role will include:
- Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support for students with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social-emotional challenges.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.
- Supporting learners in developing life skills, social confidence, and independence, celebrating progress at every step.
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, learning resources, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to set goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements.
- Acting as a positive role model, demonstrating patience, empathy, and encouragement.
- A caring, resilient individual passionate about supporting young people.
- Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
- A flexible, team-oriented approach with energy and positivity.
- Previous experience in SEN, education, or youth work is desirable, but enthusiasm and the right attitude matter most.
- Qualifications in SEN or education are a bonus but not essential.
