Join a dynamic and supportive secondary SEND school in South Birmingham as a Part-Time SEND Teacher, making a real difference to pupils with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher with experience in a SEND setting to contribute to a school that values innovation, collaboration, and personalised learning.As a Part-Time Teacher, you will deliver engaging and personalised lessons to small groups of pupils, supporting their academic progress and social development. The school caters to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and additional communication or sensory needs. You will work closely with a committed team of teaching assistants and specialist staff to create a structured and positive learning environment. This role requires a QTS Teacher who is available for 3 days a week and has previous SEND teaching experience.Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils
- Collaborating with teaching assistants to provide consistent support in lessons
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies
- Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and departmental initiatives
- QTS and previous experience teaching in a SEND setting
- Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with complex needs
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible and creative approach to planning and teaching
- A commitment to improving outcomes for pupils with SEND
