This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and other additional learning requirements in a therapeutic, student-centred setting.About the SchoolThis progressive SEN school focuses on helping students overcome barriers to learning and re-engage with education in a meaningful way. - Support students one-to-one and in small groups across a range of subjects
- Assist the class Teacher with differentiated lesson delivery and classroom management
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation through consistent routines and strategies
- Help implement individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families to meet each student's unique needs
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly SEMH, Autism, or ADHD
- Calm, confident, and compassionate approach to behaviour management
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport with students facing social or emotional challenges
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and willingness to follow school policies
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
