A new opportunity for a Senior Associate Solicitor has become available to work as part of the Commercial Litigation Team of a L500, central Leeds-based law firm.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial litigator to join a close-knit team, where you will gain exposure to a broad range of good quality and interesting Commercial Dispute cases. This role has potential for development and progression for an individual with strong technical ability, a solid grounding in Commercial Disputes and a willingness to assume responsibility. Contributing to the growth and development of the department, supervising and mentoring other team members.The successful candidate will take a proactive role, working both autonomously and as part of a team, with conduct of cases for clients in a broad range of business sectors and involving a variety of Commercial Dispute disciplines.In light of the range and depth of the available work there is also the opportunity to specialise.   • Working independently with day-to-day conduct of own files which may be complex and high value
  • Representing, advising and supporting clients over a broad range of Commercial Dispute disciplines including contractual liability, property related matters, breach of directors’ duties, trespass and nuisance
  • Working within an insurance funded litigation environment and considering matters of insurance policy coverage and providing claims handling support to insurers
To be considered for this role you will be a Solicitor or Equivalent with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE, with experience dealing with a large, varied and complex caseload.This role would be ideal for candidates from a general Commercial Disputes/litigation background, who are comfortable in dealing with, among other types of matters; breach of contract claims; shareholder and partnership, breaches of company administration requirements and directors’ duties; breach of confidence; professional negligence and fraud.Benefits include:
