- Work with the bid Manager during Request for Information (RFI), Pre-Qualification Questions (PQQ) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) phases to develop clear win strategies for each bid, ensuring compelling win themes.
- Support in the reviewing of all tender documents and resources.
- Support the Bid Manager in producing high-quality tender submissions to achieve business growth.
- Liaise with our nominated subject matter experts internally during tender phase to gather information for each submission to enable strong responses to be drafted for each bid, collaborating with each department to complete any gaps in tender questions
- Have the ability to write high quality narrative and skilfully drafted professional submission responses that fulfil the required scoring criteria.
- Review client feedback and identify inadequacies to implement lessons learnt for future bids
- Ability to identify key procurement objectives from the Customer and develop a targeted approach to the bid.
- Experience in Public procurement (desirable) and aware of Social Value Commitments to leverage our bids.
- Educated to A-level standard (degree level preferred) ideally within a writing-based discipline.
- Demonstrable experience of successful bid writing, ideally in the plant hire, construction, civil engineering, water or engineering industries
- Ability to interpret and analyse tender request documents to identify criteria relevant to the bid or tender opportunity.
- Highly organised, with good planning and prioritising skills and the ability to deliver quality work to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- APMP qualification (desirable).
- Experience of procurement platforms such as, Achillies, Ariba and Jaggaer Bravo Solutions
- Proficient in the use of AI software such as Copilot, ChatGPT.
- A current Full UK Driving Licence is preferred for this role.
