Our client is a leading Main Contractor based in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland. The business work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors including commercial, residential, hotel and leisure. Projects cover new build, refurbishment, fitouts and restoration. They have a great reputation for delivering high quality projects with exceptional attention to detail.Overview of Role:
The business has a great opportunity for a Site Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The initial project comprises a new build, 5 storey, concrete frame nursing home with an underground basement based in London. The Site Engineer will be based in London on site full time, back home every other weekend.Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking surveys and setting out on site
- Preparation of drawings and calculations to ensure quality control and compliance procedures are adhered to for engineering
- Monitoring construction progress to ensure that deadlines are being met
- Liaising with clients and carrying out site investigations
- Co-ordinating with engineers, subcontractors and other parties involved in the construction project to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications
- Liaising with quantity surveyors, directors, buyer about the ordering and pricing of materials
- Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to
- Hold a bachelor's Degree, HNC or HND in an engineering/construction discipline
- Experience working as a Site Engineer in the industry
- High attention to detail coupled with meticulous planning and organizational skills
- Demonstrate a strong interest in all aspects of engineering and looking for a dynamic workplace that provides an outstanding career opportunity
- Excellent communication skills, be able to work flexibility in a team environment and be a hard worker
- Hold a full UK manual driving license
- Passionate about continuing a career in the construction industry
