The company are looking for an experienced CAD Engineer/3D Modeller, the primary role of a CAD engineer is to produce accurate electronic drawings and 3D models to a presentable standard. This will mainly include earthwork volumes and isopachyte drawings but is not limited to these types of drawings.Responsibilities:To create accurate 3d earthwork volume drawings to a presentable standardTo create accurate drawings to a presentable standardTo create terrain models for GPS operated plantTo interrogate drawings to determine construction depthsTo issue RFIs for any missing information that is requiredTo ensure that models/drawings are generated from latest informationTo process survey data and generate as-built drawings in accordance with adoption standardsTo identify any value engineering opportunitiesEnsure workload is planned so that deadlines are met.Consolidate and improve technical relationships with clients.Attend weekly meeting with Pre-Construction ManagerSite meetings if requiredKeep an up to date drawing register for every model/drawingCandidates for this important role must be able to demonstrate:Minimum HNC in construction or civil engineeringGood CAD/3D Modelling skills (Preferably AutoCAD)3 years-experience in a similar role with a residential groundworks contractor.Ability to work under own initiative.Be able to read and understand construction drawingsGood communications skillsThis is an excellent opportunity join a growing business in the groundworks and civil engineering market, our client can offer a competitive salary and package, career progression and development.
