Job Summary
City College Peterborough is seeking a passionate and experienced Indian Cookery Tutor to join our Leisure department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative Indian cookery classes to our adult learners (19+). This role involves designing lesson plans, demonstrating cooking techniques, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop comprehensive course materials for Indian cookery classes.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate industry best practices into the curriculum.
  • Conduct hands-on cooking classes, providing step-by-step guidance on Indian cooking techniques, recipes, and cultural aspects.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various Indian cuisines, including but not limited to regional dishes, traditional spices, and cooking methods.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students on their culinary skills and progress.
  • Ensure that cooking facilities and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with relevant staff for the procurement of ingredients and resources.
