Acting as the first point of contact for infrastructure technical matters within the team, you're on hand to ensure the UKTL capability operates smoothly and to the needs of our customers. You'll coordinate with the wider network and infrastructure team, as well as key vendors and 3rd party partners ensuring that capabilities and services are always delivered to a consistently high-level.You'll help prepare and update technical and operational documentation and ensure they are kept up to date on our document management system. Experience with Microsoft Server operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Entra, Intune, and O365 is crucial. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting is essential for automating tasks efficiently. Familiarity with VMware VCenter, vSphere, Aria, and Linux, particularly Ubuntu Server, is necessary for effective server management. Knowledge of Citrix enhances virtualization capabilities.An understanding of network operations, encompassing optical and general IP networking, alongside skills in server maintenance, virtualization, containerization, and orchestration, is paramount. Familiarity with industry best practices such as fault management, change management, and configuration management is highly valued. Experience operating in telecoms environments, including a background in Network Operator roles, is advantageous. You'll also need:
