- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist students with understanding and completing tasks set by the teacher.
- Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with additional needs or those requiring extra assistance.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) where necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities.
- A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and encourage students.
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the diverse needs of students.
- Previous experience working in a similar role, particularly within a secondary school setting, is desirable but not essential.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or youth work are advantageous.
