Dedicated staff members work collaboratively to ensure every student receives the support they need to excel academically and personally.Position Overview: The school are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Learning Support Department. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with our teaching staff to support students with their academic and personal development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and contribute to their educational journey.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist students with understanding and completing tasks set by the teacher.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with additional needs or those requiring extra assistance.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) where necessary.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities.
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and encourage students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the diverse needs of students.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role, particularly within a secondary school setting, is desirable but not essential.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or youth work are advantageous.
