We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant to join our committed team.This is a dual-role position comprising:
- 30 hours per week (Grade 5) as a Teaching Assistant working partly within our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and also providing targeted support to a pupil with complex additional needs in Key Stage 1.
- 7 hours per week (Grade 6) supervising our Breakfast Club, starting daily at 7:30am, ensuring a warm and structured start to the school day for pupils.
- In EYFS, you will work closely with teachers to create a supportive learning environment, encouraging curiosity, independence and early development.
- During the rest of the day, you will provide consistent one-to-one or small-group support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them to access learning and navigate the school day successfully.
- You will also work in our Breakfast Club, offering a safe and welcoming environment and promoting positive routines before the start of lessons.
- Has experience of working in a primary school setting, preferably with EYFS and/or SEND.
- Demonstrates empathy, patience and adaptability when supporting children with additional needs.
- Is able to foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Is organised, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Holds relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent).
- Has paediatric first aid or is willing to undertake training
