This programme delivers high-quality, software-defined satellites, combining industrial series production for Airbus with a highly customised product for the customer.The programme is organised into Major Modules (PMMs), each focusing on the end-to-end lifecycle of a part of the satellite, such as the payload, mechanical platform, avionics, final assembly line, and ground systems. Each PMM has full multi-project responsibility to develop, qualify, produce, validate, and deliver its part of the programme.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Payload PMM Industrial team for a 12-month internship in Portsmouth. Working in close contact with the spacecraft's production activities (Assembly, Integration, and Test), our team coordinates the various contributors to the project, including supply chain and engineering support. We are responsible for ensuring smooth operations and delivery, which plays a major part in the success of the OneSat programme and our space business.Our Industrial Management team is at the heart of Programme Management, with members working on every aspect of the industrial process—supply chain, operations, stock, logistics, and scheduling. "What you will be doing:The successful candidate will be assisting in the following areas:Tracking of equipment delivery to programme (internal and external) in line with production schedule requirementsCoordinate Supply Chain, Logistics, and various production areas (across various sites) to facilitate smooth operationsSupport communication between the various major modules (e.g. reporting, trade-offs, analysis etc.)Support the Risk Manager to identify and handle industrial risks and opportunities.Support implementation and application of KPIs and management tools as necessary.Requirements:Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.
