- Oversee all aspects of product assurance for end to end satellite communication system design, manufacturing, and launch, including requirements review for hardware and software design, integration and test.
- Develop and implement product assurance plans and procedures in line with customer requirements and industry standards (e.g. AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Define and document quality assurance strategies based on mission type for programs, ensuring compliance with space standards (e.g. ECSS).
- Collaborate with internal and external teams (engineering, manufacturing, customers, partners, suppliers) to ensure the right level of product assurance rigor is applied and requirements are met.
- Oversee and approve the selection and procurement of electrical & electronic parts (EEE), selection and qualification of materials and processes (M&P)
- Manage and participate in quality assurance activities, including internal, customer and partner reviews, inspections, and end item data management.
- Support bid efforts by reviewing and defining and capturing product assurance requirements and documentation.
- Oversee, approve, onboard and surveil suppliers throughout product life cycle, including flow down and compliance verification of quality requirements.
- Support risk management activities and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Manage changes, deviations and impact analysis throughout projects.
- Lead root cause analysis for product/process discrepancies and develop corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain quality records to ensure traceability and accountability.
- Support new product introduction, manufacturing, product acceptance and delivery processes.
- Participate in audits (internal, external, customer, supplier).
- Leading the programme level Assurance function
- Ensuring that the flow down of assurance functions are completed and adhered to in all segments and sub-segments
- Support sub-vendors and ensure that the end to end needs are met.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent (electronics, aerospace, mechanical/materials)
- Familiarity with and able to audit to AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS standards (or equivalents).
- 5 or more years of experience in product assurance of space projects working with other space customers, ESA, UKSA
- Experience working with and managing partners or vendors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing workload and tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- 10%-15% of travel expected
