15 hours per week 5 x 3 hour shifts Monday to Saturday 16.30 to 19.45, with 15 minutes unpaid break.An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the catering department at Stockport NHS Trust. The role is part of the team providing the lunchtime service on site. The role breaks down into two parts it involves working on a conveyor belt assembling patient meal request`s, the sanitising and cleaning the crockery and cutlery upon returning from the wards.You will be paid enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays.The work is fast paced and enjoyable.You will be provided with a uniform, training and a locker. Undertake the cleaning of the main kitchens, restaurants, retail outlets and involvement in supporting the patient food service.Main duties of the jobMain Duties and Responsibilities
  • To undertake food service duties in staff kitchen and visitor restaurant and all other retail outlets.
  • To assist in the patient and restaurant food production kitchen as directed by the management team (preparation, cooking and storing).
  • Assist in the service of food items as required.
  • To prepare the patient meal service area with the necessary service equipment, cutlery, crockery meal trays, food etc. Portioning, plating and service of Patients Meals.
  • To ensure that all food is served is of a high standard, mindful of portion control, meal content, correct temperatures and food presentation.
  • To assist with the safe and effective cleaning of meal service areas and equipment after service.
