- Ensure young people receive a sensitive, inclusive service that meets their social, cultural, medical, psychological, educational, and physical needs.
- Empower young people to have a voice in decisions about their lives, encouraging independence and life skills.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families, ensuring consultation and participation in care planning.
- Promote integration with the community, using local facilities and developing community links.
- Support the Manager in maintaining the professional competence and development of the staff team.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent for Social Care Wales registration.
- Proven experience in a senior role within a residential childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of The Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 and other relevant legislation.
- Understanding of child development and the needs of young people.
- Knowledge of budget monitoring and management systems.
- Experience using a Behaviour Support model of care.
- Ability to undertake assessments, write detailed reports, and chair meetings.
- Experience in staff supervision and performance management.
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
