Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a passionate and knowledgeable Subject Specialist eager to support pupils in achieving success across your specialist subject?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Subject Specialist to join a school in Barnsley. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about helping students reach their full potential while supporting teachers in delivering high-quality lessons.As a Subject Specialist, you will:
  • Provide targeted support in your specialist subject to small groups or individual pupils.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Help monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support classroom management to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and subject-specific resources as needed.
Requirements for Subject Specialist:
  • Strong knowledge and experience in your specialist subject area.
  • Previous experience supporting students in a school or similar educational setting.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, including explanations for any employment gaps.
