- Be a strategic partner to senior engineering and product leadership with ability to be a strong influencer with credibility with peers and stakeholders, capable of building productive, trusting relationships
- Collaborate with the Product team to understand business requirements and convert them into well-defined technical deliverables
- Help to facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g. stand-ups, planning, retrospectives) and supporting backlog refinement
- Partner with Engineering and QA to ensure robust software quality through clear acceptance criteria, thorough testing plans (unit, integration, regression, and UAT), and early involvement in defect triage
- Coordinate and own release planning, ensuring appropriate change controls, stakeholder communication, and cutover readiness
- Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses for all new features and technical changes before Production deployment, with an emphasis on stability, support readiness, and user impact
- Help teams to maintain organized backlogs and documentation using Jira and Confluence, ensuring traceability from business objective to tested feature
- Proactively identify delivery risks, remove blockers, and escalate issues as needed to keep execution on track
- Dig into data: defining metrics and KPIs based on product goals, owning Product usage reporting via dashboards and data visualizations
- Collaborate with Software Engineering and DevOps to validate deployment plans and post-release verification steps
- 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product management experience within a technology-led organization
- Strong technical understanding of modern software development practices (APIs, cloud, CI/CD, monitoring, etc.)
- Experience in financial services, ideally within e-trading, capital markets, or market data platforms
- Proven experience working closely with QA teams to define test strategies, triage issues, and ensure delivery quality
- Hands-on experience facilitating Agile/Scrum processes and managing delivery via Jira, Confluence, and related tools
- Exposure to release readiness processes in globally distributed teams
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Ability to collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineering leads to turn user needs into platform capabilities, and experience using OKRs or similar frameworks to measure success.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate architectural decisions and influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
- A track record of practical, hands-on leadership and problem solving, with a bias toward action and a mindset rooted in experimentation and continuous learning.
- Experience working in a regulated environment with change management controls
- Bachelor of Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Central Location: based at our city offices near St Paul's.
