Recruit4staff are representing a well-established precision engineering company in their search for a CNC Programmer/Setter to work in Crewe.Job Role: Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using FANUC controls, working from engineering drawings to produce bespoke one-off and small batch components. The role involves machining a variety of materials including ferrous, non-ferrous, stainless steel, plastics and composites to tight tolerances. You will be responsible for producing first-off samples for inspection and ensuring accuracy throughout the machining process.Job Details:
  • Pay: Starting at £17 per hour (£35,360 per annum)
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30 (40 hours per week)
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Benefits:
  • Pay review after 3 months, potential to earn up to £20 per hour (£41,600 per annum)
  • Overtime available at enhanced rates (x1.5)
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing to 31 with service)

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Programming CNC milling machines
  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Experience using FANUC controls
  • Experience in a contract machine shop
Essential Qualifications:
  • City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Desired Qualifications:
  • CNC Programming qualifications
  • CAD/CAM qualifications
