is an AI startup based in London. * Mantic's mission is to solve judgmental forecasting and radically improve decision-making. Judgmental forecasting is about making predictions in the absence of good statistical models, often on the topics of geopolitics, business & economics, policy, technology, culture. Human
use reasoning and research, and we're building an AI system that does the same. * We have an unusually strong technical team, coming from previous work at Google DeepMind, Citadel, Foresight Data Machines, the VGG group at the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge.
- Our latest system is state of the art for forecasting accuracy. We are currently competitive in an ongoing forecasting tournament against humans, including pro forecasters.
- We looking for a mission-driven candidate to help us push frontier of forecasting accuracy.
- The role will primarily involve working with LLM workflows and agents.
- You will work autonomously, taking ideas from conception, to implementation, to evaluation. The typical project length will be short (e.g. 1 week).
- Your title will be Member of Technical Staff.

- Strong coding ability
- Experience with LLM agent frameworks, e.g. LangGraph, DSPy, PydanticAI
- Comfortable with statistics
- Experience working in quant finance, an AI lab, or an AI startup, or academic research on LLMs (not required)
- Experience working on research projects or alongside researchers
- Evidence of exceptional ability or achievement (from any domain)
- Strong academic results
- Strong work ethic
- In-person, 5 days per week.
