Job Title: Project ControllerLocation: Radway Green, CreweSalary: £43,649What you’ll be doing:Delivering defined work packages/tasks to cost/schedule/quality targetsMonitoring and reporting on project/programme performance for schedule, technical, financial and quality objectivesEstablishing & maintaining customer/supplier relationships maintaining regular communications & managing expectationsProactively managing risks and opportunities to the benefit of the work packages/tasks and ensuring that work packages/tasks adhere to the Operational Framework and LCM MandatesSupporting the creation of proposals for follow on tasks/work packagesEffectively delivering project management services to support the project management team, specifically planning, cost and risk managementWorking alongside colleagues to coordinate, support and enhance project management core function and service delivery with a focus on governance and assurance and resource requirements, along with supporting senior colleagues on larger scale and more complex projects and bid workYour skills and experiences:Essential:Project Management experience, ideally from a comparable industryFormal training in Project Management, with knowledge of scheduling, cost management, and risk software tools (e.g. MS Project & Predict!), as well as experience of SAP are preferredExperience of working through the Project lifecycle from inception through to completionExperience of working in a manufacturing environmentDesirable:Project Fundamentals APM, PFQ, and PRINCE2 qualificationsDegree-level qualification (engineer discipline preferred) or comparable experienceProgramme management qualificationBenefits:As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The Engineering Development team:This team leads the delivery of small but essential projects, managing tasks from planning through execution. Working closely with Engineering and Operations, you will ensure milestones are met on time and to standard. You will be a skilled problem-solver, with the ability to escalate issues when needed, and communicate effectively across all levels including customers and senior stakeholders.
