- Primary Medical Degree
- Full GMC Registration
- GMC Licence to Practise
- MRCPsych (or equivalent)
- An additional post graduate qualification of relevance to (own specialty)
- Section 12 MHA Approved
- Completed at least 4 years full time post graduate training (or its equivalent on a part time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term trainee or have equivalent experience and competencies
- Published audit or research
- Interest in teaching and training medical and non-medical colleagues
- Experience in service development
- Evidence of evidence based medicine training, teaching and implementation
- Excellent communication and empathic skills
- Demonstrable leadership skills Experience of team working
- Sound organisational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
