Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a passionate and creative English Teacher ready to inspire students through literature, language, and communication?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join schools in the Sheffield (S6) area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, foster a love of learning, and support pupils in achieving their full potential across the relevant Key Stages.Responsibilities as an English Teacher:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring English lessons tailored to a range of abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel motivated to achieve.
  • Support pupils in developing essential literacy, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to raising attainment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Uphold high standards of classroom management, behaviour, and safeguarding.
Requirements for English Teacher:
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.
  • A passion for inspiring young people and promoting a love for English.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
