We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Bure, a category C men's Prison located in Badersfield, Norwich.In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.HoursMonday - Friday: 07:30 - 17:30Saturday - Sunday: 08:30 - 17:30SalaryThis position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £32,346 per annum - depending on experience.How will we support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you'll be doingAs a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
  • Work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison service’s needs.
  • Deliver the highest standard of care to clients in line with National Guidelines.

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
  • Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Prior to joining Practice Plus Group I spent almost 10 years working in community, but I have found that the prison environment is where I feel I can utilise my skills and truly make a difference. I see patients with complex health issues, I help keep them informed about their medication and support out-patients in managing their conditions day to day.
