In this role, you'll take ownership of complex design solutions, manage teams, and engage with clients-driving sustainable, innovative outcomes from concept through to delivery.🔧 What You'll Do
- Lead the electrical design of building services systems: power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, comms/data, and security.
- Prepare and review calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communications.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, encouraging technical and professional growth.
- Collaborate with mechanical, architectural, and sustainability teams for integrated MEP design.
- Ensure compliance with BS 7671, building regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Represent the consultancy in client meetings, design reviews, and workshops.
- Contribute to business development and internal process improvements.
- Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership (CIBSE, IET, or similar).
- 5+ years' consultancy experience in electrical building services design.
- Strong technical knowledge across electrical systems design and coordination.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and design software (e.g., Amtech, Dialux).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Proven track record of leading design teams and delivering complex projects.
