- Maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy of internal legal and compliance standards and policies in alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
- Monitor compliance with existing policies and support the periodic review process to ensure timely updates and approvals.
- Track the effectiveness of legal and compliance processes and identify opportunities for operational enhancements.
- Design, implement, and document process improvements that support better governance, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of small-scale change initiatives within the Legal and Compliance team, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations are met.
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and support the rollout of operational changes.
- Manage the intake and triage of new or updated policy and standards documentation, ensuring appropriate review, approval, and publication cycles are followed.
- Oversee the publication of legal and compliance materials to internal platforms, ensuring accessibility and version control.
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams seeking guidance on legal and compliance processes or documentation.
- Ensure clear and timely communication of changes to policies or processes, supporting adoption and understanding across the business.
- Reporting and Monitoring
- Support the tracking of key legal and compliance operational metrics and contribute to internal reporting requirements.
- Monitor progress on compliance-related action items and follow up to ensure timely completion
- Proven experience in an operations, compliance, governance, or business support role, ideally within a Legal, Compliance, or Risk function
- Experience coordinating small-scale projects or change initiatives, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Familiarity with policy lifecycle management, document control processes, or regulatory standards.
- Experience working in a complex, regulated, or cross-functional business environment is advantageous
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Process-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse existing workflows and recommend improvements
- Confident in working independently while also collaborating across teams and functions
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive legal or compliance-related information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience using document or policy management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools)
- Comfortable working with reporting dashboards or tracking tools (e.g., Excel trackers, project management platforms such as Asana, Trello, or JIRA)
- Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in business operations, law, compliance, or a related field preferred
- Project coordination or process improvement certifications (e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation, Lean Six Sigma, or similar) would be beneficial but not essential
