SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex NeedsLocation: Cheltenham, GloucestershireLong-Term Salary: £100- £120 a dayAre you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong background in supporting children with complex needs?Protocol Education are working with a specialist school in Cheltenham. You will be working closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex trauma backgrounds.Your role will involve:
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom
  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
  • Implementing individual learning and behaviour plans
  • Supporting emotional regulation and social development
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate:Proven experience working with children with complex SEND and/or social, emotional and mental health needsConfident in behaviour management and handling conflict or incidents of aggression in a calm and professional mannerKnowledge of safeguarding procedures and trauma-informed practices ✔ Strong communication skills and emotional resilienceTeam player with a passion for inclusive educationProtocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
