This is a full-time role supporting a pupil in Reception on a one-to-one basis who has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a real difference at the very start of a child's school journey. The successful candidate will support the pupil in developing communication, social interaction and early learning skills, while helping them access all areas of the Reception curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment. About the Role Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with ASC, ensuring they feel included and able to participate in daily activities Adapt learning and play-based activities to suit the child's individual needs and interests Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored strategies and interventions Support communication development, including the use of approaches such as PECS or Makaton if required Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for both the pupil and the wider class About the School This large, 3-form entry first school has a strong commitment to inclusive education.
