Graduate Residual Value and Data Analyst – Financial Services – Berkshire - £24,000 - 1 Year FTC - Potential to go PermA well-established organisation in the finance services industry is seeking a Graduate Data Analyst to join their Credit and Residual Values team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a numerically minded graduate looking to develop a career in data analysis, forecasting, and financial modelling.This role is ideally suited to individuals with a strong analytical background, a passion for the automotive industry, and a desire to work in a commercially driven environment.The RoleReporting to the Residual Value Manager, you will play a key role in supporting residual value (RV) and service, maintenance and repair (SMR) forecasting. Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date vehicle-related data is maintained across internal systems
  • Monitoring and validating data loads between platforms
  • Performing regular analysis to identify data inconsistencies and resolve discrepancies
  • Responding to business queries and managing bespoke quotation requests
  • Supporting the preparation of committee reporting, bespoke projects, and submissions to head office
  • Assisting with the evolution of forecasting methodologies and analysis tools
  • Adhering to regulatory processes and internal controls, particularly in line with FCA requirements
  • Taking ownership of audit actions and internal improvement initiatives as required
This is a highly data-driven role, offering the opportunity to work across multiple departments and contribute directly to business-critical processes.About YouWe are looking for a recent graduate with:
  • A degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • High IT literacy, particularly with Excel; the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple data sets and work queues
  • Confidence in interpreting and presenting data to stakeholders
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a genuine interest in the automotive sector
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
