This full-time, term-time position is ideal for graduates who want to train as teachers or educational psychologists in the future.About the Role – Graduate Classroom AssistantAs a key part of the teaching team, you’ll support day-to-day learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on your interests and strengths. You’ll work with small groups and individual pupils, including children with additional learning needs.Your responsibilities will include: Graduate Classroom Assistant
- Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Leading literacy, phonics, or numeracy activities in 1:1 or small group settings
- Supporting children with special needs (SEN), speech and language difficulties, or EAL
- Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
- Helping prepare classroom materials and adapt resources when needed
- Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Holds a degree (2:1 or above preferred) – Psychology, English, or Education ideal
- Has a natural enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their development
- Is calm, friendly, and confident in a classroom setting
- Has some experience with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, childcare, youth work)
- Is considering a career in teaching, therapy, or educational support
- Weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella company fees
- Mentoring from experienced teachers and SEN specialists
- Exposure to a range of classroom strategies and learning needs
- CPD opportunities and internal training throughout the academic year
- Great preparation for teacher training pathways (PGCE, Schools Direct, etc.)
- Excellent local transport links (District Line, buses, Overground nearby)
