Job Title: HGV Technician – Up to £56K OTE – Fleet Maintenance Location: Brentwood
Hours:
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Overtime available at 1.5x rate (Most technicians work until 6 PM)
Salary & Benefits:
  • Up to £20 per hour – £41,600 basic salary
  • OTE up to £56,000 per annum with overtime
  • Company van and fuel card provided
  • 21 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
  • Class 1 training provided
  • IRTEC Licence training
The Role: As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy goods vehicles to ensure they remain in safe and roadworthy condition. Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGVs to DVSA standards
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults on a range of vehicles and trailers
  • Performing preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and breakdowns
  • Conducting MOT preparation and presenting vehicles for testing
  • Completing job cards and service records accurately
  • Ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and to high safety standards
  • Supporting the workshop team and mentoring junior technicians when required
What We're Looking For:
  • Experienced HGV Technician – Fleet maintenance experience preferred
  • Will consider Level 2 qualified or time-served technicians
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Class 1 licence desirable but not essential (training provided)
