- Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across all production equipment, including print, cutting/ bottling/ finishing and plant equipment.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with production, research & development, and quality teams to support operational goals.
- Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe and legally compliant working environment.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a Maintenance or Engineering role.
- Strong engineering knowledge/qualifications, including mechanical, electrical, or control systems, with solid experience working with PLC-controlled equipment.
- Ideally qualified to HNC level or higher in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls & Instrumentation.
- Ideally holds a formal health and safety qualification, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Experience managing external contractors and service providers.
- Proficient in using IT systems.
- Knowledge of steam boiler systems and associated safety and maintenance requirements.
- Understanding of environmental permits, health & safety legislation, and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Experience managing budgets and controlling maintenance-related costs.
