We are seeking committed and resilient Teaching Assistants to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Knowsley, Liverpool. This specialist provision supports pupils aged 5 to 16, providing both primary and secondary alternative education for those who have been permanently excluded or require a more supportive setting than mainstream school can offer.This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need stability, structure, and positive role models.Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small class groupsAssist with emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour strategiesWork closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted learning activitiesBuild strong, consistent relationships with pupils to support their progress and well-beingRequirements:
Minimum of 6 months classroom experience in the UKExperience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or in an alternative provision is desirableStrong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressureA positive, empathetic attitude and commitment to pupil inclusionEligibility:
Right to work in the UKEnhanced Child Barred List DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)Two professional references related to childcare or educationAvailable to work full-time from September 1stWhat We Offer:
