About the roleThe post-holder will assist in designing, conducting, and interpreting large-scale clinical trials and systematic reviews with an overall goal of developing evidence-based recommendations that will improve the health of millions of women and men, both in the UK and more broadlyWhat you would be doingYou will work on an effective implementation research study that aims evaluate the effectiveness and scalability of a low-cost treatment strategy for hypertension control in Sri Lanka and Nigeria. The study will involved a literature review & Formative mixed-methods research followed by a pragmatic randomized clinical trial, implementation, and cost-effectiveness evaluation of the treatment strategyWhat we are looking for
  • PhD degree (including clinical epidemiology, public health, statistics, data science and others) or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience
  • Medical background, particularly in a cardiovascular disease. The position is also applicable to candidates without a medical background who have adequate training in clinical epidemiology, or biostatistics related to clinical trials.
  • Experience in clinical trials in Cardiovascular diseases
