- Maintain high food standards in line with approved menus and dietary requirements.
- Manage portion control and minimise food waste to support cost efficiency.
- Monitor and improve customer satisfaction through regular feedback and service reviews.
- Ensure full compliance with safety protocols, hygiene regulations, and risk assessments.
- Support site management in delivering consistent, high-quality service.
- Engage regularly with clients and customers to evaluate and enhance service standards.
- Adopt a hands-on, proactive approach to strengthen relationships with schools, clients, and customers, ensuring a more customer-focused experience at site level.
- Experience as a Kitchen Manager in education catering, or potential to progress from a Catering Assistant role with further training and development.
- Ability to travel independently across sites within the contract.
- Strong understanding of school catering operations, with excellent food preparation and cooking skills.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety practices and accident prevention.
- Basic understanding of profit and loss and its impact on operations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organisational abilities.
