Real Estate Associate - Residential Development (1+ PQE) | Top National Firm | Birmingham/Hybrid BCL Legal is delighted to be working on an exciting new opportunity with a leading national law firm to recruit a Residential Development Associate into its high-performing team based in Birmingham. This role is ideal for a 1-3 year PQE solicitor or a newly qualified lawyer with strong paralegal experience in residential development looking to build their career in a forward-thinking and supportive environment. The Role This role offers a blend of high-quality work and genuine career development. You'll be part of a busy and well-established Residential Development team at an exciting phase of expansion, acting on behalf of national and regional developers and housebuilders. The team works collaboratively and values initiative, commerciality, and a passion for development work. You will be responsible for: · Supporting on a wide range of residential development transactions, from simple site acquisitions to more complex strategic land deals · Running your own files, including small development acquisitions and disposals · Drafting and negotiating options, promotion agreements, overage agreements, and ancillary documents · Conducting due diligence and managing title reviews · Working closely with clients to deliver timely, pragmatic and commercial advice · Supporting business development activities and helping grow client relationships · Being in the Birmingham office 2-3 days a week, with flexibility built in About You The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with 1-3 years' PQE, or a newly qualified lawyer who has gained significant experience as a paralegal in residential development. You'll enjoy client contact, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be looking for a long-term career in this specialist area. You should have: · At least 1 year of post-qualification experience (or strong pre-qualification experience in residential development) · Experience working on real estate transactions, ideally for developer clients · Strong commercial awareness and excellent drafting skills · A collaborative approach with strong communication and organisational skills · A keen interest in business development and client relationship building Why Apply?
