Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Annual Leave: 28 days (inclusive of public holidays)

SNG Healthcare is proud to be supporting the recruitment of a Deputy Manager for an established residential and dementia service in Southampton.This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and compassionate care professional to step into a senior leadership role, working closely with the Home Manager to deliver high-quality care and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Home Manager in achieving compliance with CQC standards and maintaining outstanding care quality.
  • Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to the care team, ensuring consistent and person-centred support for all residents.
  • Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing through individualised care.
  • Oversee operational duties including rotas, audits, supervisions, and staff training.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for staff, residents, families, and external professionals when required.
  • Contribute to staff development, morale, and retention by fostering a positive, supportive workplace culture.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or Senior Care Assistant in a residential or dementia care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding best practice.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care; Level 5 desirable or willingness to undertake.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • A hands-on, caring, and confident approach with a genuine passion for elderly care.
