- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports with accuracy.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure effective cost control.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insightful recommendations to stakeholders.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively.
- Implement and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with various departments to support business planning and strategy.
- Prepare accurate month-end management accounts for assigned sites
- Produce and post journals, ensuring correct system integrations
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and flag risks/opportunities
- Deliver variance analysis with clear commentary against budget
- Partner with site teams to support performance understanding
- Report KPIs and identify levers to improve business outcomes
- Support pricing and costing strategies with Sales & Contracting teams
- Drive process improvements while maintaining financial controls
- Assist with year-end audit prep and working capital management
- Contribute to ERP system implementation and reporting framework
- Provide financial data for group-wide reporting and ad-hoc projects
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant with strong month-end experience
- Confident communicator with stakeholder-facing experience
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with data
- Commercially aware with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Keen to grow with the role and take on broader responsibilities over time
- Experience in preparing management accounts and supporting decision-making
- Salary of £40,000-£45,000
- 4 days per week on-site in Bilston, with occasional travel to Manchester and Northern Ireland
