Excellent opportunity for an experienced production leader to join a manufacturing business with 100+ year reputation of innovation and quality based near Milton Keynes.Reporting into the Operations Director the Production Manager will be responsible for a manufacturing team of c50. You will have full autonomy for a suite of metrics (including OTIF), building and delivering production plans and leading motivating the production team.As Production Manager you will challenge all current production, planning and inventory systems providing leadership and development across the function.Day to day responsibility will include:

Ownership of MRP systems and production plan
Consistent scrutiny of metrics driving ownership and accountability across the teams
Providing process expertise and capacity development
Supporting NPD and commercial teams on product development and introduction
Team training

High SKU, fast paced manufacture A great role for a hands on production leaderThe successful Production Manager will posses a range of the following:

Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes ideally across fast paced manual environments
Excellent understanding of inventory control and MRP (or similar) systems
Proven leadership skill set
A pragmatic approach to problem solving
