- Coordinate applications, renewals, and ongoing compliance for relevant accreditations including:
- JAG accreditation (Joint Advisory Group for Endoscopy)
- IQUIPS (Improving Quality in Physiological Services)
- UKAS-accredited standards
- ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Cyber Essentials, CHAS, and other certifications as applicable
- Maintain central records and trackers for accreditation evidence, deadlines, and action plans.
- Lead pre-assessment reviews, gap analyses, and readiness audits.
- Ensure all accreditations align with CQC’s Fundamental Standards, NHS service specifications, and any local ICB (Integrated Care Board) expectations.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leads to maintain continuous compliance and quality improvement culture.
- Act as the lead coordinator for internal and external audits relating to accreditation schemes.
- Prepare and submit documentation, self-assessments, and performance dashboards.
- Facilitate evidence gathering, staff briefings, and logistics for site visits and assessments.
- Maintain robust systems for document control, evidence storage, and audit trails.
- Support the delivery and governance of the organisation’s ESG strategy, including:
- Environmental sustainability initiatives (carbon reduction, waste management)
- Social responsibility programs (staff wellbeing, health equity, and community engagement)
- Governance standards (ethical sourcing, compliance, DEI)
- Develop and maintain ESG performance indicators and contribute to internal ESG reporting.
- Monitor NHS sustainability commitments (e.g. Greener NHS, Net Zero targets) and align internal objectives accordingly.
- Maintain and review organisational policies that underpin accreditations and ESG compliance.
- Coordinate policy updates in response to changes in accreditation standards or regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and briefings to staff on accreditation standards, evidence requirements, and ESG awareness.
- Develop materials to support training in quality and accreditation processes.
- Act as the main point of contact with accreditation bodies (e.g. JAG, UKAS, IQUIPS, ISO certifiers).
- Liaise with commissioners, NHS partners, and CQC where necessary to report accreditation status.
- Familiarity with environmental or ISO standards (e.g. ISO 14001)
- Experience managing healthcare accreditations (JAG, IQUIPS, ISO)
- Strong understanding of UKAS-accredited schemes & clinical governance
- Knowledge of CQC standards, NHS commissioning frameworks
- Experience monitoring or reporting ESG, CSR, or sustainability metrics
- Excellent project management, documentation, and organisational skills
- Proficient in document control and audit preparation
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare quality, compliance, or ESG
