This is a varied, rewarding role that offers excellent preparation for those considering a teaching career in the future.Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 in the teacher's absence
- Supporting individual pupils and small groups to help them achieve their full potential
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a productive classroom environment
- Assisting with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and day-to-day duties
- Working collaboratively with staff and parents, providing progress updates when needed
- Following school safeguarding, behaviour, and teaching policies at all times
- A recognised Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a primary school setting
- Strong classroom management skills and confidence in delivering lessons
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning
