When you have family responsibilities or just need to wait for a tradesperson or service your car, AtkinsRéalis will work for you.Join our (D&AT) practice and lead delivery on projects in multiple sectors, including water, energy and defence, across the UK and abroad. Our expertise covers the entire life cycle of places and spaces, from feasibility, planning, investigation, design and supervision of new assets to assessment, repair, modification and rehabilitation of existing ones. You'll lead teams pulling together on a large range of schemes, such as individual 'mega-projects' and multiple projects within frameworks.This challenging and rewarding role will enable you to bring your skill and experience to the table, expand your competencies and contribute to the growth of the practice.Your Purpose:
  • Participate in the practice, fostering collaboration with colleagues, and commitment to the industry.
  • Technically lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring?
  • Chartered Discipline Specific (i.e., Mechanical, Civil, E&ICA) Engineer with strong experience track record.
  • Experience in design delivery, including coordinating with other disciplines in multidisciplinary design.
  • Experience leading a design team, business development and successful competitive tendering.
  • Engineer with sound problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, practical mind.
  • Take accountability and responsibility for work carried out by the individual or the team.
  • Work well with and form relationships with others, including the client team, other disciplines, and contractors at all levels (junior to senior) inside and outside the business.
  • Experience working with and negotiating with key project stakeholders, including regulatory, statutory, and local bodies.
  • Produce designs following CDM regulations.
