As a Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be at the heart of our mission maintaining and repairing military vehicles and equipment that support national defence. This is more than just a technical role; it's a chance to contribute to something bigger. You'll be working with purpose-built machinery, gaining hands-on experience, and growing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.Day-to-day you'll be required to:
- Diagnose and repair military and occasional civilian vehicles and mechanical equipment
- Undertake inspections, assessments, and road testing
- Complete documentation and test certificates to required standards
- Ensure accurate reporting of work completed and time taken
- Use issued stores and equipment appropriately, returning unused or faulty parts
- Experience working with heavy goods vehicles (HGV)
- Confident using diagnostic tools and systems
- Competent computer user
- Holds a valid UK driving licence
- Level 3 qualification in Motor Mechanics (Light or Heavy) via RQF NVQ/SVQ or EAL Level 3 NVQ/SVQ Extended
