Hydraulic Engineer –We are looking for a long-term Hydraulic Engineer to join our tightly knit, family run business, which holds value in every employee that works towards both their own, and the company’s goals. The company specialises in the design, manufacture, modification, and repair of a wide range of heavy material handling equipment, for companies within the UK and across Globe. With our expertise and knowledge, we provide a bespoke material handling service like no other, working alongside all WRS’s engineering’s departments, we research, design, and modify/manufacture bespoke lifting equipment to best fulfil the worlds need for innovation, and implementation of new and repurposed lifting equipment.Your duties and responsibilities will include.
  • Safely working on Hydraulic equipment
  • Stripping and Building of hydraulic cylinders, motors, pump assemblies and Vales
  • Visit site to replace hydraulic hoses, diagnose hydraulic faults, and test hydraulic equipment
  • Maintenance of the Hydraulic mechanic workshop and mobile van
  • Management workshop & Mobile Van fittings, oils, and consumables
  • The Hydraulic shops open and shut down procedure
you will be required to;
  • Be an affective team player, working closely with the machine shop on repairs & new build hydraulic equipment
  • Plan your own work methods, prioritizing safety, job completions times, and quality product
  • Manage own workload in conjunction with machine shop
  • Complete an accurate timesheet
  • Adder to all rules, procedures, and policies.
Ability and knowledge
  • Your must be level 3 qualified in a form of engineering
  • Be able to operate hydraulic test bed, hose swager, and general workshop equipment
  • Be able to effectively operate forklifts and heavy handling equipment
  • understand engineering principles
  • Be able to understand reasons for hydraulic faults and repair accordingly
  • Be able to work offsite using minimal equipment, utilizing own innovative in hydraulic van
Preferred ability and knowledge
  • Able to weld hydraulic cylinder parts
  • Have other transferable skills across our engineering departments
What we offer
  • £15.50 P/H – £16.50 P/H
  • 40 hour weeks, + Overtime
  • 1.5x During the week
  • 2x on a Sunday
  • X3 on bank holidays
  • Monday to Friday working week
  • 08:00 – 16:30
  • Average holiday pay,
  • Enhanced holidays for loyalty, 1 every 2 years 5 days total
  • Annual £1,000 bonus
  • £32,240.00 - £50,375.00 with overtime
  • Training in every department
