
Child Voice and Creative Engagement Officer

- Deliver and coordinate youth engagement activities across the East Riding.
- Champion the voice of children and young people in decision-making as part of our inclusive advocacy model.
- Co-produce meaningful participation models, including:
- Mind of My Own digital engagement
- Children in Care Council and Care Leavers Forum
- An expanding Independent Visitors Scheme
- Partnerships with the voluntary sector
- Work collaboratively with professionals, partners, and young people to deliver sustainable, impactful engagement initiatives.
- Has direct experience in front line childrens services or youth voice and engagement.
- Have good working knowledge of childcare legislative framework, and understand restorative, relational, and strengths-based practice.
- Can analyse and interpret childrens and young peoples lived experience to drive service improvement.
- Is passionate about inclusion, participation, and co-production.
- Demonstrate a high level of motivation and the ability to work independently and drive initiatives whilst working within timescales and with conflicting priorities
- Has a degree in health, education, or social care or relevant experience.
- Is confident, creative, organised, and committed to making a difference.
- You will also be working with the teams across our service and therefore, it is essential that the post holder is able to work effectively with others with a flexible, relational and adaptable approach.
