
Site Manager - Fixed Term Contract

- Location: UKRI, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory , Harwell, Oxford
- Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday , 40 Hours
- Job Type: Fixed Term Contract (3-6 months)
- Attend Client / progress / briefing meetings
- Update contractor project reports/programmes/Site diaries in advance of meets
- Attend progress meetings and developing progress report for senior management and or meetings
- Drive daily progress on project/s
- Work with the design team to develop designs
- Deliver and schedule works with direct labour and sub-contractors
- Attend Pre Start meetings
- Manage and ensure H&S on site including inductions of GRAHAM staff and Subcontractors
- Record Site events and conditions
- Ensure all Company Procedures are being complied with
- Liaise with the client and end users to make sure they are kept up to date with progress and requirements
- Ensure all works are completed to high quality
- Manage Works on site including staff & Subcontractor management
- Manage works to deliver to programme
- Self-snag works prior to completion of works
- Collate material orders and issue to project manager and project support for ordering
- Report to senior management
- Assist in the completion O&M manuals on completion of projects
2. Demonstrate relevant previous experience in a similar role working within a trade or construction background
3. CSR/SAFEPASS/CSCS/ECS Card
4. Demonstrate knowledge in construction design management (CDM)
5. Strong technical knowledge in Passive Fire Protection and existing Legislation
6. Ability to work to the deadline in a mixed live environment following a specific set of local rules
7. Ability to manage and deliver numerous concurrent projects of varying financial values and scope
8. Health & Safety Induction Including Management System
9. Demonstrate previous relevant management experience
10. Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and ideally Project
11. Full UK drivers licence
12. First Aid at Work
13. Proven Leadership and people management skillsDesirable Criteria1. NVQ Site Carpentry2. PASMA training3. IPAF 3a +3b training4. Basic knowledge and understanding of the electrical and fire alarm systems5. Knowledge of UK building regulations6.
