Supply Desk is proud to be working with a well-regarded school in the Milton Keynes area, known for its inclusive and nurturing approach that ensures all pupils — regardless of their challenges — are supported to reach their full potential. The school is now looking to expand its support team and is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to assist children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).The role will involve:Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and supportive activities tailored to individual needsTaking a holistic approach to student development, implementing strategies that promote progressAssisting in the creation and maintenance of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Risk Assessments, and Care PlansCollaborating with families, external agencies, and the wider school team to provide consistent and effective supportBuilding therapeutic and supportive relationships with students, based on trust and understandingThe ideal candidate will have or be:Experience working with children with Autism or a genuine desire to work in ASC supportA strong understanding of SEN and a willingness to grow professionallyAvailable on fixed days – full-time or part-time consideredQualified with NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)Background in care, residential support, or similar settings is advantageousPersonal experience supporting someone with ASC (professionally or personally)Training in Team Teach, TEACCH, or Positive Handling would be beneficialPassionate about helping young people develop independence and emotional resilienceHold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain oneWhy work with Supply Desk?
