🔐 Security Clearance: SC Clearance required (can start on BPSS)Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quality Delivery Lead to join a high-profile programme within the UK nuclear industry. This role requires a strategic leader with deep knowledge of quality management in complex project environments. You will play a key role in driving quality across all phases of the programme lifecycle, including both internal and external activities, and lead a team of quality professionals to deliver against programme objectives.Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a credible and influential leader of quality, championing a strong quality culture with a “right first time” mindset.
- Serve as a subject matter advisor on quality, advising on risks, issues, and best practices.
- Mentor and support cross-functional teams, including Engineering and Procurement, on quality-related matters.
- Lead the quality team, ensuring effective deployment, utilisation, and performance management.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers.
- Lead the development and implementation of quality plans, procedures, and local work instructions.
- Monitor supplier quality performance, ensuring all specification and customer requirements are met.
- Conduct supplier assessments, review quality documents, and ensure appropriate approvals are in place.
- Lead quality investigations and proactively close out non-conformances.
- Implement a risk-based internal and supplier audit programme.
- Prepare quality performance reports, identify trends, and drive continual improvement initiatives.
- Strong background in the nuclear sector or similarly regulated industries.
- Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Sound understanding of nuclear regulations, legislation, and customer quality expectations.
- Proven experience in leading quality teams and delivering quality assurance across complex projects.
- Experience in supplier quality management and audit processes.
- HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering).
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor trained.
- Full member (or working towards) of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
- Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas.
- Must hold (or be eligible for) Security Check (SC) clearance. Can start on BPSS.
