Recent standout works include the Hugo Boss HQ fit-out, Kings Cross reception, a gym fit-out in Holborn, and a Grade II-listed refurbishment in Euston-all completed with minimal disruption and high praise from clients.ABOUT THE ROLEAs Design Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the design integrity across a range of high-profile fit-out and refurbishment projects. Reporting to the leadership team, you’ll:
  • Lead design coordination from concept through construction, ensuring that architectural intent aligns with practical delivery.
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and contractors, maintaining open and transparent communication at every stage.
  • Manage the design development of Cat A, Cat B, and hybrid office environments, alongside special projects in education, fitness, and healthcare.
  • Ensure all design elements meet Box3's quality standards and client expectations-optimising functionality, aesthetics, and efficiency.
  • Guide creative problem-solving, while upholding timelines, budgeting, and compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Be a design ambassador-fostering innovation while building strong client relationships rooted in clarity, creativity, and craftsmanship.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) as a Design Manager or similar role, specifically within commercial office fit-outs.
  • Strong technical understanding of Cat A and Cat B design and delivery-across interiors, MEP coordination, finishes, and FF&E.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills-able to engage with clients, designers, consultants, and delivery teams.
  • Track record of delivering design projects on time, on budget, and with high quality-even in occupied or phased environments.
  • Ability to think creatively and pragmatically-innovating solutions that meet client vision, logistical constraints, and cost parameters.
  • UK-based and comfortable working within London; experience with Grade II-listed projects or similar heritage-sensitive works is a plus.
  • A proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a flair for delivering workmanship that resonates with Box3's commitment to excellence.
