As an SEN TA, you will provide essential support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop both academically and socially.Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
- Implement individualised learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
- Assist in maintaining a positive classroom environment by supporting student behaviour.
- Help students develop social skills and build confidence in their abilities.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure students receive the right level of support.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and flexible approach to working with students.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps clearly explained.
