We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Cookstown Library . This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP, Working on a 2 week rota basisHours of work: 13.25 hours
TemporaryWeek 1: Monday OFF , Tuesday OFF, Wednesday OFF, Thursday 11am – 2pm Friday 11am – 4pm,Week 2: Monday OFF , Tuesday 4pm – 7pm , Wednesday 10.30am – 1.30pm, Thursday 11am – 2pm , Friday 11am – 2pm Saturday 10am – 4pmRate of pay is £13.21 per hour. Saturday pay rate £19.82 per hourDuties include:
  • Handling client queries using print & electronic resources
  • Registering clients
  • Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations
  • Provide all library services to meet the learning , information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.
Essential Criteria:
  • Must have 5 GCSE’s including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
  • 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.
  • Experience working with young children and elderly people
  • Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
